AI workflow examples

Six AI workflow examples we would automate before a big project

The best starting point is repeated work with clear inputs, an accountable owner, and an output the team already knows how to judge.

How to read these

Automation handles the queue. People keep the judgement calls.

Each map below shows a small operating system, not a single AI prompt. Triggers, fixed rules, model tasks, approvals, and system updates all have different jobs. The green nodes show steps a machine can run. The plain nodes show where a person starts, checks, or owns the work.

We would adapt the fields, thresholds, permissions, and exceptions to your business. A team processing 40 invoices a month needs a different control level from one processing 4,000.

Choosing the first build

Score the process before you score the software

Count how often the job runs, how long it takes, how many systems it touches, and what an error costs. Then list the common exceptions. A frequent, rules-heavy task with clean inputs is a strong first build. A rare negotiation with unclear ownership is not.

We normally start with one section that can produce a measurable result in four to eight weeks. That may be the routing step rather than the full sales process, or the document check rather than all of accounts payable.
